· The Society's Lecture Programme ·


We have lecture meetings at 7 pm in the Dickens Room of the Birmingham and Midland Institute, in Birmingham City centre. The lectures are given by invited speakers and are aimed at a wide audience. Annual programmes of lectures on local archaeology alternate with thematic programmes which have a wider geographical range.

Recent themes have included:

Non-members are always welcome to attend, however a nominal fee may be levied.
Also, a reciprocal arrangement exists between this Society and both the Birmingham University Archaeological Society and the Solihull Archaeological Group, whereby our members can attend their lectures free of charge.
